LHOLZ — Objects for Form and Ritual

Hi,

My name is Mendel, designer and woodturner, and the founder of LHOLZ.

I work with wood as a material for form and expression, creating objects that sit between design and sculpture.

Each piece is made slowly in my workshop in Potsdam, using traditional woodturning techniques and a focus on clarity, proportion, and material.

Influenced by Scandinavian and Japanese design culture, my work explores reduction, balance, and quiet presence.

At LHOLZ, objects are not defined by function alone.

They are made to exist within interiors — as part of daily rituals, spaces, and atmospheres.

COME VISIT ME

I would be delighted to show you my place and share my work with you.

You can find me at Jägerstraße 7, 14467 Potsdam, in a quiet courtyard in the city centre, just behind Brasserie zu Gutenberg.

French is my native language, but I also speak fluent German and English. Feel free to reach out in whatever language makes you feel at home.
